Dear Friends,
I write to you from Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where I’m in the middle of a fourth visit to Trinity School for Ministry to study for the Doctor of Ministry degree.
The DMin program is designed for practitioners – working clergy – with intensive classroom experiences in January and June preceded by a couple months of reading, and

followed by a couple months of writing. It’s a lot of work – equal parts invigorating and exhausting – but the reading, writing, lecture, and discussion with others like myself not only scratch my lifelong itch to learn, but also keep my knowledge and understanding current and deepening so that I may serve you well.
This term, I am reveling in two courses: The Evangelistic Legacy of C.S. Lewis, and Celtic Spirituality. You may count on hearing more about each in the coming months!
Trinity’s program is rigorous and well designed. I expect to finish classwork in June of 2018 and begin writing a thesis. I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this opportunity. While it sometimes stretches me nearly intolerably, the program’s demands keep my heart and mind alive in ways that nothing else can do.
Wishing you such blessings,
Mtr. TJ
