Caring for Our Own & Others

Dear Friends,
Please hold in prayer our folks who are facing serious health challenges:
  • Anna Ramey – expected to leave Community Hospice today and continue to receive hospice care at home
  • Jeannie Broughton – home just before Christmas following several hospitalizations since June
  • Cathy Childers – home following 6 weeks of chemo and radiation which eradicated a tumor
  • Steve Childers – home from rehab at Woodland Oaks following a fall which broke his tail bone, but soon to be transferred to another facility while he and wife Cathy continue to heal
  • Martha Ross – hospitalized at KDMC with probable rehab to follow
  • Victor Wilson – expected to return home today following successful knee replacement
  • Paul Farrington and Brenda Hayes – scheduled for surgeries in January (as well as two others who have had or will soon have surgeries, whose names I have not received permission to list)
It is possible I have failed to name others who would appreciate our prayers. If you are one of those, please let me know so that we all may support you.

Today and tomorrow our first winter storm will blow through, expected to deliver only about one-to-three inches of snow, but the temp won’t rise above freezing. Roads may be slippery. Please check on those friends and neighbors in your lives who are vulnerable, and pray for those who are living on the streets.

Wishing you every blessing – including warmth and safety,
Mtr. TJ
