Two of our folks will be baptized in January! We’ve also been blessed with several new members in the last couple months who need to learn more about who we are as Episcopalians. I will be teaching a Tuesday evening class for these folks in December and January, with possible dates to follow in February. All members are welcome to attend! If you wish to brush up on your knowledge of our identity and worship, feel free to join the class on the dates below from 6 to 7:30 P.M. in the Heritage Room. Please let me know if you plan to attend so that we know when everyone has arrived; we lock the doors for security. Scheduled dates are Nov. 28, Dec. 12, and Jan. 2 and 23.
Don’t forget: We will help to feed 135 people a hot Thanksgiving dinner this Friday at the Salvation Army. We’ll cook in the Calvary kitchen from 8 to 10:30 A.M., then transport the food up the street, ready to serve at 11. Please contact coordinator Sean Farrington at 606-939-5352 or seanmdusty@hotmail.com to volunteer your time.
Your prayers are requested for Tom Wuerdeman, longtime member of Calvary with his wife, Penny. Tom is hospitalized at Our Lady of Bellefonte with a serious infection, and his condition is very poor. We can’t know at this point whether he will bounce back or worsen. Please pray for Tom and his family as they watch and wait.
Wishing you every blessing,
Mtr. TJ
