Dear Friends,
Despite weather that refused to acknowledge spring, Holy Week was full of fulfilling worship and fellowship! It takes many people to manage such a wealth of events, and we owe them our thanks (below, in no particular order):
- Our stellar altar guild, busy at the church providing our visual and table environment nearly every day.
- Deacons Tina and Diane and a host of readers, servers, acolytes, ushers, and thurifers.
- Melissa Owens and Sam Hall, who did extraordinary work behind the scenes, printing and proofing bulletins, cleaning and moving furniture, and a hundred little extra tasks.
- Liz Alexander, who created once again a beautiful Altar of Repose and facilitated Lent Madness.
- Carol Greene and the vocal and bell choirs, who learned much additional music and attended extra rehearsals; Kirstin Anderson, who provided lovely music on her mountain dulcimer; and Victor Wilson, who, accompanied by Carol, represented Calvary with special music at Monday’s noon ecumenical service hosted by the Ashland Area Ministerial Association.
- Adam Miller, who ran the PowerPoint for the Great Vigil.
- David Stewart, responsible for the lovely annuals planted in front of the building and the mulching of the garth.
- Cade Mahan, Dcn. Tina, Sudie Davis, Victor Wilson, Kim Harding, Helen Hall, and David Stewart, who provided food for our terrific Easter morning brunch, and Dcn. Tina for her lovely decorations.
- Debbie Braun, on hand for every service to provide care for our children.
- Numerous volunteers who set up the parish hall for the Great Vigil on Friday night and reset it for Sunday after the Vigil.
- All who donated flowers to beautify our nave for Easter.
- Those who sent photos of our worship.
Our monthly newsletter will go out this week and will include additional photos. Enjoy!
Alleluia! Christ is Risen!
