Dear Calvary friends,
Last Sunday: Thanks to everyone who participated in some way this last Sunday! Both the worship service and the Annual Parish Meeting were well attended and went smoothly. I also greatly appreciate that we have several newcomers who responded to the invitation to officially become members of Calvary with a resounding, “Yes”!
Therefore, you will begin to see these folks pictured in the weekly ENews here and in the Sunday bulletin as a way of introducing them to the rest of the congregation and welcoming them into our church family. Please say hello to our newest Calvary family members!
Speaking of new – we have a new vestry team and a new list of Deputies and Alternates to Diocesan Convention.
New Vestry serving until Jan. 2027: Debbie Braun, Kim Harding, Lyndi Lowman, Sonya Massie, and David Stewart.
Returning Vestry: Cade Mahan (2025), Dicky Martin (2026), Rick Mauro (2025), and Rick Waddle (2026).
Outgoing Vestry: Sean Farrington, Alyse Giffin, Cindy McKnight, Rebecca Napier, and Ernie Pitt. Thank you all very much!
Diocesan Deputies & Alternates (elected annually):

This coming Sunday is the Bishop’s Annual Visit: Bishop Mark Van Koevering will be with us for the 10a.m. service to preach and celebrate. We will also welcome several new members during the service! In addition to Bishop Mark welcoming new members this Sunday we will have The Celebration of a New Rector. This Sunday is when I will be formally installed as the Rector of Calvary Episcopal Church. So in other words – this Sunday is going to be a double dose of fun! Please invite someone to the 10a.m. service since it’s going to be a party!
