Calvary is my spiritual home base — a community of Christians that I share not only my faith but also almost every aspect of my life. People at Calvary are more than just fellow parishioners, they are my family. I was raised in this church, turned away from the church, and returned after a long absence. My family rejoiced and welcomed me back with open arms. Since my return, my faith has deepened while worshiping and learning at Calvary. I can truly say that my faith has deep, strong roots grounded in solid theology. I thank God every day for guiding my return to the fold! 

Since the late 1800’s, from my great-grandmother to my children, my family has made Calvary our home church. I have a strong bond with Calvary due to the many baptisms, christenings, confirmations, weddings and funerals. Without any doubt, I know Calvary was saved from our last devastating fire. As I stood there praying with my two young girls and church family, I overheard the firemen say, “Move back, the church is going to go.” However, Our Lord was not done with Calvary, and the wind changed directions. Even though there was a lot cleaning up to do, everyone pulled together to rebuild our church. We are truly Blessed and I Thank God I can worship at Calvary Episcopal Church.
