Calvary Vestry members are an elected group of parishioners who, with the Rector, guide and direct the church. Members act as the governing board for the administrative functioning of the church.

Deborah Braun
The last time I was on the Vestry I was new to Calvary and it was a turbulent time for our church.  It will be such a different experience to be on the Vestry during the “renewal” of our church.  Building “youth” in our parish is a main concern of mine and I think we are ready to revitalize this parish.  It is a joy to me to lead Children’s Chapel each Sunday and to guide the Christian formation program, which includes our Vacation Bible School every summer.

Martha-Lindsey Ross Cooke

Martha-Lindsey grew up attending Calvary, moved to Virginia for 31 years, and returned to Ashland and Calvary in 2003.  She has served on the Vestry and Altar Guild, and is a lector and usher.  She also sings with the choir.  Martha-Lindsey has two children, Bryan Cooke Jr. and Lindsey Elizabeth Cooke and two grandchildren, Naomi and Jadin.  She enjoys reading and loves to play with her dog Molly.  Martha-Lindsey loves the people of Calvary.  They are like her second family.  She hopes to see more people involved in activities.

Dr. Jerald M. Ford
Jerry and his family have been members at Calvary for 30 years.  He has twice served on the vestry and has served as Senior Warden.  Jerry is a gynecologist in Ashland and is married to Judy.  They have three children, Richard, Christy, and Michael.  He enjoys bicycling and reading.  Jerry enjoys the feeling of family at Calvary.  His grandchildren are fifth generation members of Calvary and he hopes Calvary will be here for another five generations.
Suzanne Gilmore
Suzanne has attended Calvary for 25 years.  She serves on the Vestry and is a lay reader.  Suzanne is married to Steve Gilmore and she has three children, Paul B. A. Webb, Andrew T. Webb, and Katherine G. Webb, deceased.  She is a nurse practitioner and enjoys quilting, reading, and running and loves the strong sense of family within Calvary.  Suzanne hopes for a strong, inspired, and energized future for the church.
Bruce Leslie
I have been a faithful attendee of Calvary for more than 25 years, and it is a very important part of my life.  I found my previous term on the Vestry to be not only interesting and exhilarating, but I believe it also fulfilled my commitment to contribute something other than attendance and stewardship to my Church.  I am a long-time practicing attorney, and I found in my last term on the vestry that several questions faced the Vestry in which my legal background was helpful in guiding the Vestry's decisions on certain issues.
E.B. Lowman III
My career is in real estate management and development in Ashland. My community involvement includes service on the Board of Directors of Bellefonte Country Club, Ashland Alliance, United Way, and Assistant Coach of the Paul G. Blazer Girl’s Soccer Team.  I have been a member of Calvary for four years and serve in youth ministry with my wife, Lyndi.  We are the proud parents of Caroline and are expecting a little boy in June.  I look forward to serving on the Vestry and believe we are ready to reach out and grow.
Donald R. Maxwell
I have been Treasurer of Calvary Church for the last several years.  I have been involved with the Men’s Club.  I believe Calvary has a bright future as the result of new members and young people joining our church.  While I do not profess to be perfect, I do try to serve God in his Church and help others, as Jesus would do.  I am currently employed as the Executive Director for the C.P. Huntington Railroad Historical Society, Inc. and serve on the Board of Directors of several organizations.
Patricia Meigs Pitt
Trish has attended Calvary for 33 years and served on the Vestry several terms.  She sings in the choir, serves on the Altar Guild, and is a Eucharistic Visitor.  She has served as Senior warden and on the Endowment Advisory Committee.  Trish is an attorney and is married to Ernie Pitt.  They have two children Belle and Cama (Welsh Corgis).  Trish enjoys gardening and reading.  She believes Calvary is a parish of good, caring Christians, who genuinely love each other and try to spread God's Word.  Trish hopes we can move into an exciting future, expanding our membership and ministries in Ashland.
