The Reverend TJ (Antoinette) Azar
Melissa has been the Calvary parish secretary since December 2007. She graduated from Marshall University and Ashland Community College. She currently lives in Catlettsburg with her husband, Gary and her son, Tanner. She is a member of First Baptist Church of Cannonsburg where she is a nursery worker and Sunday school teacher of the young youth. In her spare time she also works as a part-time substitute child care worker at Ashland Child Development Center.
Carol has coordinated music at Calvary parish since 1999. She graduated from Marshall University, University of Kentucky, and Morehead State University. She has a Ph. D. from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she specialized in nineteenth-century women’s literature. An active member at Calvary since 1979, Carol became Music coordinator in 1999. She studied organ with Arnold Blackburn, University of Kentucky, and Harriet Tucker, Marshall University. When not “making music,” she teaches English and coordinates online learning at Ashland Community and Technical College.
Sam has served as Calvary's sexton for 30 years. He is responsible for taking care of the grounds, maintenance, and ordering supplies. He and his wife, Helen are lifelong residents of Ashland. They have three children, Becki, Cindy, and John. They also have four grandchildren, Samantha, Brian, Mike, and Brooke.
